MARY MORAHAN

Mary Morahan began her professional career as a mathematics teacher in Denver. After completing her graduate degree in business, she left the classroom and joined Getty Oil Company.
|
For the next twenty years, Mary continued to work for Getty and its succeeding companies (Texaco and ChevronTexaco) in a number of leadership capacities including management of all of Texaco’s domestic and international learning projects in the health, safety and environment arena.
Mary’s work took her to many of the company’s US facilities as well as facilities in the People’s Republic of China, Indonesia, Angola, Nigeria, and Kazakhstan where she coached and mentored national employees in leadership and supervisory skills, while reducing the need for expatriot Support.
Mary’s ability to work with executive management, her peers and her direct reports won her numerous awards recognizing her outstanding contributions Today, as a learning management consultant to the Farrell Group, Mary applies the theoretical side of learning to the practical side of business with extraordinary results. Her keen insights into how people learn, how to apply that theory to the workplace, and how to increase productivity while respecting the individual’s skill and knowledge levels make her “in demand” in the business arena.
Businesses rely on Mary’s expertise in learning management systems to ensure that training, as a company’s most expensive intervention for improved performance, is conducted to performance-based standards and only when the training will ensure positive impact to the company’s bottom line.
Mary is a leader in her community as well, having served as a volunteer in the “Destination ImagiNation” program, Mile High United Way and Boy Scouts of America.
